The spirit gauge in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is like the bread and butter for every fighter. Including the main bosses as well! So to become powerful and inevitable in fights of this game is to master the use of spirits. But do you know how it works? If you are still having trouble finding out how the spirit gauge works, you’ve come to the right spot!

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is the new action role-playing video game developed by Team Ninja and published by Koei Tecmo. The game pictures China, in the era of the Han Dynasty, being infected by a plague. Dark forces are here, and you are the one to fight them!

But to do so, you must master using the spirit gauge. This power meter works like “Stamina” or “Mana” in many other games. The more you have, the stronger you get. Here is how it works.

What is the spirit gauge in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty?

Spirit gauge is the bar below your health. If you have it, you can perform martial arts moves, cast spells, and dodge/block enemy attacks. When the bar fills to the right side, and It’s blue, your character is most robust.

On the other hand, if you use all the abilities and drain the spirit gauge in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, you will be vulnerable to every attack. That goes to a point where you can’t even block or dodge the enemy!

The best way to increase the spirit

Spirits are vital in every fight, and deflecting is the best way to increase it. A perfect and well-timed deflection adds a significant amount of spirits to your character.

You can also use regular attacks to fill this orange/blue bar. When this measure is nearly complete, the enemies can not block your special attacks!

How the spirit gauge in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty gets drained

Using any special attack drains your spirits. But the one thing that dramatically decreases it is when the enemy attacks you. If they land a hit, the bar goes all the way down, And if you block them, you still lose spirits.

One can say that the spirit gauge in this game works similarly to the one we saw in Sifu, Where even if you even block the enemy, you’ll lose momentum.

But the spirit gauge in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is not only for you to deal with! The enemies have the same thing under their health bar. The best way to stun an enemy for the last fatal hit is to decrease their spirit gauge. Remember that this metric works for the bosses as well.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is currently available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
