In a genuine show of appreciation, Kate Middleton responded to this immense show of love and support with thank-you notes specially dedicated to fans who reached out in their unique ways. The cards featured a brief message of appreciation and the palace’s official letterhead. However, these unique cards did not include the customary photo printed on the postcard. Rather, the palace left the postcards blank, breaking the unwritten rule of including a picture in correspondence sent out by the royal family.
Regardless of the omission of the traditional royal photo in the cards, fans who received the Thank You notes from Kate Middleton were elated. In fact, Kate’s breach of the royal tradition made her postcards appear more genuine and personal.
One royal fan, Allex Marie, who received a card from Kate Middleton utilized social media to share her excitement upon receiving a Thank you card from the princess. She explained how she sent a card out to the royal in January after learning of her abdominal surgery. Months later, her family received the surprise of a lifetime when Kate responded with a Thank you note. Although the part designated for pictures remained blank, the note included words the royal fan would admittedly cherish her whole life. It read,
“Thank you for your kind well wishes to Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales. Your thoughtful gesture is very much appreciated.”
