Vampyr was an ambitious, choice-driven game, and DON’T NOD outdid itself in every way with Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. The game is longer, richer, and altogether better than its blood-drinking predecessor, but how long can players expect to spend in its haunting world? Unsurprising for a choice-driven game like this one, the answer largely depends on your decisions. If you want to see everything the game has to offer, it’s going to take a while. So how long does it take to beat Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden?
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden Length and Chapter List
How long it takes to beat Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden depends on what kind of playthrough you’re going for. Completing just the main story will take most players around 20-30 hours. In doing so, however, you’d miss a huge amount of side content. Red and Antea have numerous Hauntings to solve, and getting to the bottom of each of them will take a while. If you want a rough idea of how far you are already, here’s a list of every chapter in Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden (MINOR SPOILERS in the chapter titles):
- Landfall
- Death to the Dead
- The Ends of the Earth
- Hungry The Hunters
- The Woodfolks
- The Beast
- Old Acquaintances
- The Swamp Witch
- Isolation
- A Flame in the Dark
- Witchfinders
- The Inkwell
- Grief and Rancor
- Love Finds a Way
- Of Days Gone By
- Homecoming
You’ll have to beat the game multiple times if you want to get every achievement, however, because the game features multiple endings. A 100% run will take closer to 70 hours thanks to the number of collectible books and other items there are to track down, as well as the time it takes to solve some Hauntings. The good news is Red and Antea’s emotional story gives you a lot of reasons to stick around.
