From elf to oni, Genshin Impact features numerous non-human characters that you can meet and collect. Among them is a youkai named Kirara, who works at a delivery company. Although she looks young, she may be older than her appearance due to her race. Unlike 5-star characters, there is not as much info about Kirara’s past, and many players may never know how old she actually is. However, we can still attempt to deduce her real age by gathering some facts from her lore and voice lines.
Kirara’s Real Age in Genshin Impact

While we know some information about Kirara’s past, we can only assume that she is over 20 years old in Genshin Impact. Although there are some characters with animal features in the game, like Diona, Kirara is actually a youkai. According to her character story entries, she was born as a normal kitten with one tail.
Kirara remembers spending a long time exploring the Inazuma wilderness. Eventually, she met a friendly old woman who took her in after she slept inside a box in her house. She was also the person who gave the name Kirara when the youkai was just a cat.
It’s unclear how Kirara turned into a youkai, but once she gained a human form, she immediately entered Inazuma City. Like any young teen, Kirara got into numerous troubles and even broke into the Tenryou Commission. Luckily, the officers didn’t see her as a threat but merely told her to stop eating the ornamental fish.
Kirara also encountered various characters during her youth. She even met Yae Miko, who taught her all sorts of subjects. Since the fox youkai called Kirara her junior, it is confirmed that the cat is younger than the shrine maiden.
Eventually, Yae Miko recommended that Kirara join the Komaniya Express. Unfortunately, there is no exact date for when Kirara became a courier. However, based on her childish and youthful behavior, Kirara is likely to be very young, which is why I suggest her real age is around 20 years old.
