Ryu has captured the hearts of fans worldwide with his strength, determination, and demeanor. As Street Fighter 6 approaches, fans are eager to uncover the details about their favorite characters, including Ryu’s age. While Capcom has not explicitly revealed the characters’ ages in Street Fighter 6, we can gather information from previous games and official statements to estimate how old Ryu is in Street Fighter 6.

To understand Ryu’s age in Street Fighter 6, let’s first look at the events of Street Fighter 3. Game Director Takayuki Nakayama confirmed (via Twitter) that Ryu was 33 years old during the storyline of Street Fighter 3. This gives us a baseline for Ryu’s age and allows us to make reasonable assumptions about his age in subsequent games.

In Street Fighter 3, Ryu’s close friend Ken mentions his 3-year-old son, Mel Masters. Recently, Capcom released the Days of the Eclipse comics, where Mel Masters appeared as a teenager. Based on Mel’s physical appearance in the comics, we can estimate his age to be between 13 and 15.

Considering the passage of time since Street Fighter 3, we can deduce that Ryu’s age in Street Fighter 6 is in his 40s. Assuming Mel Masters is a teenager in the comics, it suggests that over a decade has passed since Street Fighter 3, further supporting the estimated age range for Ryu.

To get the classic outfit of Ryu, you have to reach the bond level of 100 with Ryu in the World Tour mode of the game. But it is not as simple as just jumping in the game and starting grinding. The first thing you should know is that Ryu will only be unlocked in Chapter 8 of World Tour, so you have to play quite a bit to reach this part of the game.

In Chapter 8, finish E. Honda’s mission, and after that is complete, use some travel tickets to travel to the Genbu Temple. After you’ve arrived, a cutscene will be played that introduces Ryu to the game. Then, like every other mentor in the game, you have to fight him. The recommended level of fighting Ryu is 25.
