Looking to augment weapons in Fire Emblem Engage? We could all use that extra strength in the game, to be honest.

Each hero spirit within an emblem ring comes with sacred weapons that your unit can utilize while engaging with the emblem spirit.

These weapons can be enhanced and augmented with rawer and effectiveness against certain unit types.

How to Augment Weapons in Fire Emblem Engage

To augment weapons in Fire Emblem Engage so, you need two things.

  1. First, you need to unlock the capacity of the engaged weapon even to augment it. Each engaged weapon starts up at 0 capacity. Still, starting from bond level 10, you begin unlocking capacity slots.
  2. The second ingredient is crystals of various stat types. You gain these by doing Tempest Trials in the Tower of Trials.

How to Make the Most of Trial Maps

If you want to augment weapons in Fire Emblem Engage with crystals, you’ll need to master the Trial Maps first.

In them, you participate in trial maps, a multi-map challenge you can complete with adjustable difficulty settings. Maps are chosen from a small pool of randomized maps designed around the themes of the trial map themselves.

As you progress through the story, you unlock different trial maps that can increase the chance for the crystals you want in particular.

Be warned that you are not guaranteed even the materials listed under bonus materials at lower difficulties. I recommend farming for these a bit into the mid-game, as it can be time-consuming with a small payout.

That means lower-leveled trials won’t help you work to augment wepaons in Fire Emblem Engage.

A huge boon for this mode is that you can go completely nuts. All the items consumed during The Tempest trials at any unit desk, even on classic mode, are not.

You will get back all your units and resources, plus the rewards for completing the trial maps.

Fire Emblem Engage is available on the Nintendo Switch.
