Sukuna is a punishing boss who’s quick to punish mistimed dashes and whiffed combos, so timing and attention are everything. How To Beat Sukuna in Sakura Stand
Beating Sukuna in Sakura Stand won’t be as simple as evolving Gojo in Anime Last Stand, but it’s possible. The key is to learn his movies and pay attention to his patterns. Here are the attacks you need to watch out for:
- Flame Ballista – A flaming arrow that creates an AoE fireball
- Dismantle Combo – A four-hit combo followed by a guard-breaking energy slash
- Speed Blitz – A forward dash accompanied by multiple slashes
Sukuna’s Dismantle Combo is the easiest to deal with. All you need to do is block it and then counter with one of your own as soon as Sukuna’s combo ends. To deal with his Flame Ballista, take advantage of the giant skulls littering the terrain. Bait him into launching his attack then move behind a skull, causing him to waste the shot. If Sukuna launches this attack in the open, back away as much as possible and wait until he fires the Flame Ballista before dodging, otherwise it can still hit you. Avoiding the Speed Blitz requires you to recognize its starting animation and dodge, which can be tricky until you’re used to it.
Additional Tips To Beat Sukuna
There are two titles you’ll want to consider bringing if you want to beat Sukuna in Sakura Stand:
- Special Grade – +10% damage to all Jujutsu Kaisen abilities
- Sacrificer – +15 damage, -25% defense
Special Grade and Sacrificer are both great options against Sukuna due to the boss’s large health pool. Of the two, Special Grade is preferable since Sacrificer’s defense debuff makes it easier for Sukuna’s attacks to kill you. As soon as Sukuna ends his dash, use your dash to close distance and then hit him with a combo. If you miss your initial attack, however, he will immediately punish you. It’s therefore better to just retreat and try again if you miss. By taking advantage of Sukuna’s cooldown windows and causing his Flame Ballista to miss, you’ll easily dethrone the King of Curses.
