Do you want to know how to build a Guild Hall in Dwarf Fortress? Dwarf Fortress is a classic fantasy game that has been around for years. In Dwarf Fortress, players make and manage an entire fortress full of dwarves. As part of this, players can create a unique building known as the Guild Hall. This structure provides a place for dwarves to come together and relax and also provides a place for you to hold all of your important meetings.

What is a Guild Hall in Dwarf Fortress?

The Guild Hall in Dwarf Fortress is an excellent place for your dwarves to come together and socialize. Many use the Guild Hall for important meetings, such as the mayor’s election or discussing critical civic issues. Plus, it’s also a chance for your dwarves to take a break, grab a beer and chat about their day. Whether it’s a business meeting or wishing everyone well before bed, the Guild Hall is a perfect spot for all your dwarf needs.

A guild hall is requested once you have sufficient members in the profession. Generally, this value is 10. To make a Guild Hall, you need  2000 in Zone Wealth. If you are building a Grand Guild hall, this value is 10,000 Zone Wealth.

You can build a Guil hall by assigning a designated area for Guild Hall and making it a meeting area. After that, you must increase the zone’s value by adding furniture and decorations to the site. Counting objects made with building materials like wood, stone, or metal will add to your Zone Wealth. You can also add embellishments like rugs, banners, and paintings to make the Guild Hall look nicer. Once you have achieved your desired value, you can assign the area as a Guild Hall.

Once you have built your Guild Hall, you can assign it to a profession and give it a name. This is important for the dwarves to recognize it as an official Guild Hall and use it accordingly.

Finally,  you may also want to add some extra features to improve your Guild Hall. For example, you can construct seating areas and a bar if you want your dwarves to have a place to relax and socialize.

That’s it! You now know how to build a Guild Hall in Dwarf Fortress. Whether you want to hold business meetings, relax with a beer, or have fun with your dwarves, the Guild Hall is the perfect place. So get building!

Also, Dwarf Fortress is now available on PC via Steam and itch.io.
