Some players will claim that shooting at its back and under the tail might work, but honestly, the fish’s hitbox is pretty wonky. Sometimes targeting its back will work, sometimes it won’t. So the most reliable method to catch it is by attacking its soft underbelly. Dunkleosteus’s face is a huge no-no because it is armored and will deflect all your shots.
