Are you trying to capture the elusive Pelican Eel in Dave the Diver? The Blue Hole contains a wide variety of fish and other aquatic sea creatures. Dave can face anything from tuna to sharks and dolphins while navigating the open waters. Capturing these animals is part of Dave’s pursuit of running a successful sushi restaurant. Dave can trade animals, sell animals, or turn them into delicious sushi to attract customers. The Pelican Eel is needed to collect specific resources to create a tool to help Dave capture more fish.
Where Is the Pelican Eel Located in Dave the Diver?
The Pelican Eel can be found swimming in the Glacier Passage in Dave the Diver. The Glacial Area in Dave the Diver is one of the coldest locations in the Blue Hole. You will need a wetsuit that can withstand the freezing waters. You unlock the Glacier Passage in Chapter 4 of the game.
The Glacier Passage is the place Dave needs to swim through before entering the greater Glacial Area. The passage is one of the more enclosed areas in the game. You will have to swim around and solve a series of puzzles when you first enter. There are very few fishes in the Glacier Passage, with the Pelican Eel being one of six found in the passage.
The Pelican Eel looks like a typical brown eel but with a large head and mouth like a pelican. The eel can be found during the day and is one of the rarer spawns in the Glacier Passage. It may take a bit of little swimming before you eventually spot a Pelican Eel.
How To Capture the Pelican Eel
The Pelican Eel will attack Dave if it spots him, so approach the eel from behind. The Pelican Eel is a Rank 9 fish, and capturing or slaying it could reward you with a Pelican Eel Skin item.
You can hook into the Pelican Eel from behind and pull if you have good enough equipment. However, the Pelican Eel is one of the more tricky animals to try and capture. You will probably have to cut down its health a little before hooking into it. Try to sneak behind the eel and stab it with one of your melee weapons. You can also shoot at it with your projectiles.
Nevertheless, avoid hurting the Pelican Eel too much unless you don’t mind killing it rather than capturing it. You can still gain a Pelican Eel Skin even if you slay the animal rather than capture it.
What Do You Need the Pelican Eel For?
Like all other animals in Dave the Diver, the Pelican Eel can be used to sell, trade, or make sushi. Nonetheless, the Pelican Eel is more valuable for its Pelican Eel Skins that drop when captured or killed. Pelican Eel Skins are needed to craft a Steel Net Gun.
A Steel Net Gun is a special weapon that entraps a small group of fish. The weapon can capture up to seven fish, has a range of five, and has a magazine size of six. The materials needed to make the Steel Net Gun are below:

- 1 Steel Rope
- 3 Pelican Eel Skin
- 20 Topaz
- 3400 Gold
