Warframe: How to Catch Rare Fish on the Plains of Eidolon

Before you head out into the Plains of Eidolon, you’ll want to make sure you have the Lanzo Fishing Spear equipped. This can be obtained in Cetus from Fisher Hai-Luk for 500 standing, so you don’t have to be a crazy high rank or anything with them. While you are there, grab some Luminous Dye for 100 standing as well. Once you’ve grabbed both of those, pick up some Murkray Bait or the recipe for it before you leave, too, which will cost you 200 standing.

If you need to craft your Murkray Bait, you can do it with the ingredients listed below:

  • 5 Tralok Eyes
  • 5 Mortus Horn
  • 10 Goopolla Spleen
  • 20 Fish Meat

Now, make sure your spear, your dye, and your bait are all equipped to your gear wheel and head out on the Plains of Eidolon.

Best Location to Catch Rare Fish on the Plains of Eidolon in Warframe

There are quite a few bodies of water in the Plains of Eidolon, but some of them yield far better results when searching for rare fish than others do. If you want to find the best location for them, you’re going to want to check out the map once you’re loaded into the Plains and search for Hillside Ruin. Once you’ve found it near the bottom righthand-side of your map, make your way to the body of water that is directly below it. Search for the areas on the water that have bubbles popping up and search for fish there. Be sure to equip your bait and your dye, and use them before fishing.

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
