Koi is a beautiful but quite rare fish in Coral Island. Players can spend hours searching for it in different bodies of water and still not catch it. The fact is that it spawns only at certain times of the year. In addition, Koi is an early fish, so it is impossible to find it at night. Fortunately, in reality, everything is simpler than it might seem, and all you need to do is be in the right place at the right time to get this beautiful fish.

Where To Find Koi

As we said, Koi prefers a certain time of year, namely Spring and Summer. Only during these seasons will it spawn in the island’s water bodies. As for the location, we recommend that you fish in the River in town, Cavern, or Lake. It is also worth noting that Koi fish can only be caught in the morning in Coral Island. Therefore, go fishing as early as possible. Luckily, you don’t have to wait for any special weather to do this.

How To Catch Koi

Fishing in Coral Island is quite a challenging activity. It’s not enough for you to simply cast a line into the water and wait. Instead, players must choose the right fishing rod, bait, and even cast length. With Koi, you need to focus on catching medium-sized fish.

To do this, you must progress and level up the Fishing skill to unlock Medium Fish Bait, which will increase the chance of catching Medium fish. Then, you should craft a Silver or even a Gold Fishing Pole to cast a fishing line for 4 and 5 lengths, respectively. After that, all you have to do is come to the locations described above and fish until you catch Koi in Coral Island.

How To Use Koi Fish

Although Koi only has a few uses in Coral Island, they are very important for progression. The first and easiest thing is to sell. Depending on the quality, players can earn from 175 to 350 Coins. But if you are lucky enough to catch a Silver quality Koi, you should not sell it. Instead, use it for The Freshwater Fish offering. Finally, you can give it to Eleanor or Bree.

That’s all you need to know about how to catch and use Koi in Coral Island. You’ll need this rare fish to complete the offering, so don’t sell it as soon as you catch it. In the meantime, please take a look at our guide on how to get Hardwood in Coral Island.

Coral Island is available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles.
