Most of the resources in Coral Island are either lying around under your feet or produced by certain equipment. However, some of them are much more difficult to obtain than they might seem at first glance, such as Hardwood. Basically, it’s a special type of wood that is suitable for upgrading your buildings and tools. But when you start looking for Hardwood in Coral Island, you’ll find that you only have ordinary wood. That’s because this resource spawns in a few specific locations.

Fortunately, in the early stages of Coral Island, regular wood will be enough for you. But when you want to upgrade your Coop or Barn to level 2, for example, you will have to go in search of Hardwood. But first, you will have to prepare a special tool.

Hardwood, as the name suggests, is a very hard wood in Coral Island. In other words, ordinary axes will not be able to cut it. Therefore, you need to go to the Water Mine and get Silver Ore. Then, melt it into Silver Ingots in the Furnace. As you may have guessed, this is necessary for crafting the Silver Axe.

Now that you have the appropriate tools, you must go to the Coral Island forest in search of Hardwood. Unlike regular wood obtained from trees, Hardwood can be obtained from fallen dark logs. You can find one of these near the waterfall near the entrance to Mines. If you want to collect a lot of Hardwood, you need to go deeper in the forest. This area is unlocked after several lake temple offerings.

What Can Hardwood Be Used for in Coral Island?
