Lies of P is the newest souls-like game taking the world by storm, and it’s not hard to see why. Set in a dark, plague-ridden version of late-19th-century Europe, Lies of P puts the player in control of Pinocchio, a puppet with a mechanical arm who awakens with vague instructions to find Mr. Geppetto somewhere in the city of Krat. Players are afforded a somewhat limited amount of customization when it comes to Pinocchio, mostly centered around his fighting style and magical abilities, but one area of customization that’s easily changed is Pinocchio’s outfits. If you’re looking to change Pinocchio’s clothes so you can vanquish automatons in style, then this guide is for you.

In Lies of P, players can change Pinocchio’s clothes to give the puppet a distinct sense of style as they journey through Krat. While Pinocchio begins the game in a simple white, ruffled shirt and black pants, players are given the option to change Pinocchio’s clothes into one of eighteen outfits. Choices range from more extravagant options, such as the Mischievous Puppet’s Clothes with its bright red tunic, to more subtle options like The Atoned’s Hunting Apparel in darker shades of brown. Whether you’re looking to play an extravagant, boisterous version of Pinocchio or a more subdued character that blends with the grimy streets of Krat, you’re bound to find something fitting your style, given the variety of outfits presented to players.

In order to change costumes in Lies of P, players need to first navigate to the game’s main menu. From there, go to the equipment menu, where you’ll find a “Costumes” tab. Select the tab, and under “Outfits” you’ll be able to choose a new outfit for everybody’s favorite puppet. The outfits are unlocked at various points throughout the game, and the player can change Pinocchio’s costumes at any time. One important thing to remember about costume changes in Lies of P is that no matter which outfit you choose to dress Pinocchio in, your choice has no effect on your gameplay. In a departure from most other Souls-like games, changing outfits and accessories in Lies of P is simply a cosmetic choice, as none of the costumes offer any kind of buffs, debuffs, or stat changes that would change the way the game is played.

Lies of P is currently available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
