Even with delays, Portkey Games delivered one of the most immersive and greatest gaming experiences so far. Set in the Wizarding World, Hogwarts Legacy is the RPG that many fans of the series were hoping for. Even for newcomers, the story remains original with a fresh cast of characters and an easy-to-follow plot. For old and new fans, you’ll notice that one of your first big choices in the game is choosing a house. This will dictate where you’ll be located and who you’ll get to interact with. Being an RPG, players wonder how customizable the game really is. So, if you’re wondering how to change houses in Hogwarts Legacy, this guide will tell you all about it.

How to change Houses in Hogwarts Legacy

The short answer to this is that sadly, you can’t change houses in Hogwarts Legacy. While there are many aspects of the game you can tailor to make your experience more personal and immersive, house-changing isn’t a thing. This is a definitive choice, and you won’t be able to switch to another house during your playthrough. However, the game has 4 character slots, which means you can play as a character of each house. This is important for those who want to 100% the game. There is a trophy/achievement for each house of the game, so you’ll be playing the game at least four times to complete everything.

While some people are sad about this, it isn’t a completely bad thing. The game has different endings, which means you’ll likely have to play the game over and over to see them all. As with any other traditional RPG, Hogwarts Legacy offers replayability by changing a few things in different playthroughs. While many things stay the same, depending on the house you choose, you’ll see things differently. So, don’t be afraid about trying a new character once you finish your first playthrough. While the main story takes somewhere between 30 to 35 hours, there are some people who have finished it in under 20. That means getting the other endings shouldn’t take long. So, now that you know how to change houses in Hogwarts Legacy, make sure to make the right choice with your first character and enjoy the journey in that house.
