Fae Farm is a farming sim in which the game will have to create a unique homestead on the island of Azoria. At first, you will only have a small old house at your disposal, but as you progress, you will be able to rebuild it. In addition, the inhabitants of the island are very nice and friendly. You can even get married to some of them. However, the game also has some rather strange features, such as the ability to choose a name for the world and homestead, but not yours. So, read on to learn how to change your character’s name in Fae Farm.

Can You Change the Character’s Name in Fae Farm?

When you start playing Fae Farm, the game asks you to come up with names for your world. It doesn’t seem to affect anything other than making your save files different. However, you cannot change the name once the game has started. Then, you will create a character, watch a beautiful prologue, and start playing on the island of Azoria. At this point, many players are wondering how to choose the character’s name.

Well, Fae Farm doesn’t actually give players the option to enter their character’s name. Instead, the game automatically names your character the same as your Switch, Epic Games, or Steam account. And, of course, this annoys many players.

Moreover, you will not be able to choose your character name even after you beat the game. Fortunately, there is one way to change your character’s name in Fae Farm, although it is not very elegant:

  • First, create a Phoenix Lab account.
  • Next, connect your gaming accounts to Phoenix Lab. If Fae Farm finds a linked Phoenix Lab account, it automatically uses its name for the character name.
  • Change the name of your Phoenix Lab account to the same name you would like to name your character in Fae Farm.

It is really a very strange move by the developers. Why we can name the world and even our homestead, but not the characters? Anyways, we hope that in future updates, Phoenix Lab will fix this.

That’s all you need to know about how to change your character’s name in Fae Farm. If you don’t like the name that the game automatically selected, then follow our tips to choose a new one. In the meantime, take a look at our guide on how to complete the Petal Bloom Festival.
