“A Basis for Blackmail” is the third Side Quest that you must complete during Natsai Onai’s questline in Hogwarts Legacy. This quest follows the leads you were given in “The Lost Child,” during which Archie mentions the names of three villagers who were friends of the late Mr. Bickle. Natty is determined to find out more information from these individuals as a means to take down Harlow. Accordingly, you must meet with her outside of Hogsmeade to get started on the “A Basis for Blackmail” in Hogwarts Legacy.
Completing A Basis for Blackmail Quest in Hogwarts Legacy
The first step in the “A Basis for Blackmail” Side Quest in Hogwarts Legacy is questioning the three Archie mentioned: Daisy Rabe, Otto Dibble, and Agabus Philbert. Daisy Rabe is worried about the whereabouts of her husband, Isko, and Otto and Agabus will request that you find two of their possessions. Locating Isko is essential; the other two are optional.

After following the quest markers to speak with the three leads, your next step in “A Basis for Blackmail” in Hogwarts Legacy is to return to Natty. However, your fellow student is nowhere to be found, so you will be directed to check the Hog’s Head. After failing to find Natty at the pub, you must enter the cellar entrance to the Ashwinder Hideout near the southern side of the Hog’s Head, next to an eyeball chest and a Moth Mirror. Inside, the cellar will look like an average storeroom, but you will quickly notice that using Accio on the two smaller barrels in the basement will open a secret entrance.
To no one’s surprise, the Ashwinder Hideout in “A Basis for Blackmail” in Hogwarts Legacy will be crawling with hostile Ashwinders guarding the area. While the layout of the hideout might seem complex, Natty is easy to find. Your classmate and Isko can be found in the upper-level chamber opposite the hideout’s entrance. You can speak past the guards or fight your way through. To help the two escape, you must use Alohomora on a nearby box to retrieve Isko’s Wand, allowing him to remove the curse on his and Natty’s prison doors. Now accompanied by the two NPCs, you can return to the entryway from which you came to complete the quest.
