There will be plenty of side activities that you find when playing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. For example, if you are walking around Hateno Beach, you may come across a message in a bottle from someone trapped in a cave. Obviously, Link is not the kind of person to turn away from a chance to save someone in need. Here is how to complete the A Bottled Cry For Help side quest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

After you find the bottled message on Hateno Beach to start A Bottled Cry For Help, you should have a good understanding of what your goal is. Someone has been trapped in a cave behind a rock, and they need you to come to save them. To help you find your way, they have thrown out a trail of Brightbloom Seeds.

If you want to, there are some supplies around the shore where you find the bottle to make a raft to help you reach the cave. If you look out into the water, you can follow the Brightbloom Seeds or maybe go against the current that is pushing them in your direction. That said, you can also go back towards the land and paraglide your way to Mapla Point Cave. You can find its location on the map in the image below on the other side of the Mapla Point hillside.

After you have reached the cave, you can spend a little time grabbing the resources in this area. There are some ore deposits to break apart and Brightbloom Seeds to grab. Whenever you are ready, go to the back of the cave, and you will find a small tunnel with a rock in the way. Use Ultrahand to pull it out and set it aside.

Walk into the room and talk to the trapped villager. He will thank you for saving him and reward you with 100 Rupees. This will complete the A Bottled Cry For Help side quest in Tears of the Kingdom. It’s a nice little boost to your wallet for going to the right area.
