Completing Nightmare Dungeons in Diablo 4 is a bit tricky if you consider all the different things included in the process. You must craft or collect Nightmare Sigils, complete the dungeon, assuming you have it unlocked already, and work toward leveling up your Glyphs. While this doesn’t seem like a big deal, it significantly strengthens your character and build. Keep reading to learn how to complete a Nightmare Dungeon in Diablo 4.

Before you can complete a Nightmare Dungeon, you need to get ahold of some Nightmare Sigils. You can find Nightmare Sigils in various places. Sometimes, they can drop from Tree of Whispers Grand Caches. In addition, you can head to the Occultist and craft your own Nightmare Sigils with a tier of your choosing.

After you’ve obtained your first Nightmare Sigil, you can begin a Nightmare Dungeon in Diablo 4. To begin the dungeon, you’ll need to access the Consumables tab of your inventory, found under your character profile. Choose a Nightmare Sigil, then activate it. Once you’ve done this, the dungeon will be marked on your map. Head to the dungeon and go inside.

The dungeon will appear to be the same as the original version of the same dungeon, with a couple of exceptions. Nightmare Dungeons have certain affixes that modify the dungeon’s difficulty, making it more difficult or easy. Run through the dungeon like you usually would.

When you complete the Diablo 4 Nightmare Dungeon, you will be rewarded with two high-rarity items and a large amount of Gold and Experience Points. In addition, you will also receive Glyph Experience Points. These allow you to level up the Glyphs that you own, whether they are being used in your Paragon Board or not. These upgrade the Passives used with the Glyph used in your Paragon Board.

Once you complete the dungeon, an altar will spawn, where you can allocate your Glyph Experience Points. Keep in mind that if you don’t have the specific Glyph that you need for your Paragon Board yet, you can save up your Glyph XP for another time. In addition to dropping rare items and gold, you will also be able to pick up at least one new Nightmare Sigil before you leave the Nightmare Dungeon in Diablo 4.

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
