While summer means hot sunny days where you go to the pool with your friends for most people, it means something different for Guardians in Destiny 2. The arrival of summer means the Solstice Event is here to celebrate Guardians’ achievements in the last year. Similar to previous years, players get a unique set of armor and upgrade it with unique currencies and a series of events and challenges to complete, which will reward you greatly. Bonfire Bash is one of those challenges, and here is how to complete it as part of Solstice 2023 in Destiny 2.
How to Complete Bonfire Bash in Destiny 2
As part of the Solstice Event, you get a unique and cool armor set that can be upgraded. Upgrading it to the max level will give it a glow which indicates you have leveled up your armor to the max level. To do this, you will need Kindling which can be obtained from Silver Ash that comes from Silver Leaves.
You will get the Silver Leaves once you talk to Eva Levante in the Tower, where she also gives you your Solstice gear. Equip the gear you just received, and then you can spot the Bonfire Bash activity through the Tower map. Start the activity by fighting several waves of enemies leading to a boss fight to get some Silver Ashes.
Your first task in Bonfire Bash is to destroy the Taken Blight located at the center of the map. Killing it will turn it into the Bonfire we need to gather Silver Ashes. Once you’ve got the Bonfire, you have to Ignite the Bonfire. Once this objective appears, a series of mini-bosses will appear across the map known as Ignition Carriers.
Destroying this enemy will drop an orb required to ignite the Bonfire. So after you’ve destroyed the enemy, grab the orb and dunk it inside the Bonfire. There will be three orbs for three guardians, and each player has 10 seconds to grab and dunk it. So don’t miss your chance.
The quicker you kill these enemies, the more orbs you get, which means you get more rewards and Silver Ash at the end of the activity. Once the timer on your top left side runs out of time, the Taken Heat-Drinker, the boss fight of this activity, will appear.

This is a relatively easy boss to beat because it has no unique movement. Its only unique move is the pool of goo that will decrease your health if you stand on top of it. Once you’ve killed this boss, the activity will be completed, and then you can grab your reward and Silver Ashes from the Bonfire.
Destiny 2 is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
