You’ll need to start this quest by going to Merusea Village. There will be a blue marker in the village that indicates that there is an available World Quest there. Once you arrive, you should be able to spot a bonfire with an NPC named Verenate standing at it. There’s a good chance that, at this point, you’ve had to speak with them before to go over other quests. If you don’t already have the ability to do this quest, then there’s a good chance that you haven’t done the Ancient Colors: Act I quests.

As you speak with Verenata, they will be making a soup that Paimon comments on. After a bit of discussion, you will be transported over to a beach where you will have to defeat several Breachus Primus enemies. After two waves of fighting these enemies, you’ll need to speak with Verenata if you want to continue forward. The next battle will be between two waves of Pyro Slimes.

Once all of the battles have been completed, you’ll be asked to use the Truesight Potion and head over to an area in a nearby river that houses a blue umbrella with a vase. This area is Vereneta’s workshop, where you can meet her. Once you do, you’ll have completed the quest. The following is everything that you would earn as a reward:

  • 40 Primogems
  • 23,000 Mora
  • Three Hero’s Wits
  • Three Mystic Enhancement Ore
  • One Strange Part

At that point, you’ll be able to move forward and work on other quests on keep moving on to explore the newest area of Teyvat, Fontaine. You can refer back to this guide if you’re having any issues with the Genshin Hey, This Isn’t Pumpkin Soup quest or if you happen to know someone who doesn’t know how to move forward.
