Disney Dreamlight Valley‘s new expansion pack, A Rift in Time, brings players to a new land called Eternity Isle. Like Dreamlight Valley at the beginning of the base game, the new Isle is in rough shape when you first arrive. It’s littered with shards of fate – similar to Night Thorns – and broken down buildings, and you’ll have to put in a lot of elbow grease to get it in working order. One of the first steps to restoring Eternity Isle is bringing Scrooge McDuck and his store to Eternity Isle in the quest New Ventures (And Adventures).

How to Start the New Ventures (And Adventures) Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley

To start the New Ventures (And Adventures) quest, you’ll need to travel to Eternity Isle. First-time visitors can reach the new isle by going to Stardust Port and using the Ancient Vessel, but you can also fast travel through the wells if you’ve been there before.

After you’ve arrived on Eternity Isle, head north from The Docks, and you’ll find a boarded-up, abandoned version of Scrooge McDuck’s store. There’s a Condemned Building Sign in front of the building: pick it up, and you’ll officially receive the quest. You’ll be instructed to find Scrooge McDuck – he can be on Eternity Isle or back in Dreamlight Valley – and give him back the sign.

Once you find Scrooge McDuck in Disney Dreamlight Valley, talk to him, and he’ll take the sign back. Scrooge will explain that a long time ago, when Eternity Isle was first discovered, he tried to open a new shop location on the Isle, but it failed and the building has been abandoned for a long time. However, he’ll decide to repair the shop and try again, and ask for your help repairing the interior of the shop.

How to Gather Materials for Scrooge McDuck’s Store in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Accept the quest, and Scrooge McDuck will explain that he needs the following materials to repair the shop’s interior:

  • 25 Copper. Using the pickaxe, copper can be mined from mining rocks scattered around the Ancient’s Landing biome. Each rock has the potential to drop a few copper, along with a few gems and coal. If you’re familiar with Iron Ore from the base game, this is similar.

  • 24 Pearls. Pearls are found in the ground, and you can dig them up with the shovel. Pearls are found at random in the dirt around Ancient’s Landing, and the type of dirt doesn’t have an effect on their spawn rate – pearls are found in sand and dirt, similar to Clay and Pebbles.

  • 15 Quartz. Like copper, Quartz can also be found by mining the rocks around Ancient Landing. It’s not uncommon for quartz and copper to drop together. However, you’re going to need only half the amount of quartz.

All of the materials can be found within the Ancient Lands biome, and you won’t have to unlock any new areas to complete this quest. If you’ve already depleted all the mining rocks in the area, it’ll take about five real-world minutes for them to respawn so you can mine them again.

After you’ve collected all the necessary materials, return to Scrooge. Turn in the materials, and Scrooge will announce that it’s time for his grand opening – and he’s giving you the honor of opening the shop. To complete the quest, interact with the new Scrooge McDuck sign in front of the shop. Scrooge will act like he needs coins from you as well, but don’t worry, he doesn’t actually need your money.

Scrooge McDuck’s new store will officially open, and all you have to do to complete the New Ventures (And Adventures) quest in Dreamlight Valley is talk to Scrooge again. When you do, he’ll give you 1000 coins as a reward. As a bonus, you can now visit Scrooge’s store without having to travel all the way back to Dreamlight Valley.
