When you reach the end of the game, you will have to take the last important step that will take you to Unity. Many players are afraid and don’t want to do this because they don’t know what to expect. Don’t worry, this guide will show you how to complete One Giant Leap in Starfield. It’s ironic how you’ve gone from One Small Step to One Giant Leap in 19 main quests, and now you just have to finish everything you’ve done. Below, we’ve described how to complete this quest, as well as the goals and missions you might have forgotten.

Starfield: How To Complete One Giant Leap

One Giant Leap is the last quest of the storyline, and after completing it, you will finish your current game and start New Game Plus. All your efforts, collected artifacts, and the deaths of your allies have brought you here. In the previous mission, you received the last artifact, and now you can complete the Armillary. Now, you can go on a new journey but don’t forget to complete all the current missions and quests in this universe. We’ll describe what you can do in the old universe below, and now let’s get down to the mission.

Build the Armillary on Your Ship

The first part of your mission will be to complete the Armillary finally. Luckily, it’s not difficult; here’s what you need to do:

  • Go to your spaceship.
  • Go to the panel with the Armillary.
  • Interact with it to place the artifact there.
  • Click on the Add Artifacts option to add the missing elements and complete the armillary.

If you’ve done everything correctly, you’ll receive a message from the game saying the following:

โ€œYou’ve completed the Armillary. Once you power up your Grav Drive, you’ll jump to the Unity. Remove the Armillary from your ship if you need to grav jump to anywhere else.โ€

So, if you have any unfinished tasks, we recommend that you do them before jumping to Unity. One of those things could be the optional Talk to Your Friends Before You Leave quest, and we recommend that you do it before you start your new journey.

It’s worth noting that once you log out of Unity, everything starts over. If you want to complete a few faction missions to complete the quest line, this is the best time to do so because after entering Unity, you will need to start all over again. The same goes for other side quests and characters. If you have any quests to complete or someone you want to see before the last Grav Jump in this universe, don’t delay. Try to accumulate the highest possible level and more skills because this is the only thing that will stay with you in the new world.

Make the Grav Jump to Unity

Well, when you’re ready to take the plunge, get on your ship and use Grav Jump. It doesn’t matter in which direction you do it as long as the Armillary systems are working properly.

If you do everything right, you’ll notice a cutscene in which your ship flies faster and faster into the radiant tunnel until the entire screen goes white. The next thing you see is a large sphere in the middle of space and a person standing in front of it. As you get closer, you realize that it’s you, your character. In fact, it’s not, it’s just a twin from an alternate universe. You can start a dialogue with him, which will lead you to two options:

  • Enter Unity.
  • Go back.

If you choose the first option, you’ll hear philosophical reflections about Unity, as well as find out what happened to Hunter and Constellation. Eventually, after entering the sphere, you’ll see another cutscene, followed by darkness. At this point, the quest and the main story of the game will be completed, and you can start New Game Plus.
