Want to know how to complete the Open the Door side quest in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom? The rocky and snowy terrain of the Hebra Mountains is fraught with many dangers and difficulties, so Link will often meet travelers who need his help. And while some NPCs ask you to collect some mushrooms as simply afraid to go into the cave, others are in danger. Two traveling Shield Surfers found a small house and decided to warm up a little. But while they were inside, they were surrounded by monsters. So if you’re ready to save the travelers and complete Open the Door in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, we will help you.

To accept the Open the Door side quest, you must head east from Rito Village in the Tabantha Frontier region. Leaving the village on the east side, you will find yourself at a triple fork in the road. Take the left path and go straight until you see a small house on the hill to your right. Go to the door, and two frightened voices will ask for your help. They will ask you to kill monsters, after which you accept the Open the Door quest.

To complete the Open the Door side quest in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, you must kill a couple of Bokoblin to the right of the house. Here’s how to do it.

  • Looking at the clearing to the right of the house, you will see a group of Bokoblins near the fire. You should sneak up on the enemies and perform a sneak attack.
  • We also recommend drinking an elixir or eating food with the Cold Resistance effect. The two Bokoblins have ice orbs that can help you defeat them faster or lead to your death.

  • We recommend attacking Ice Orb to freeze the Bokoblins and easily defeat them. If you are affected by this item, you and your enemies will be covered in ice. But thanks to the Cold Resistance effect, you will free yourself faster and be able to finish them off.
  • Defeating all the monsters, go to the door again and talk to the NPCs. They will be glad they no longer hear the sounds of monsters and will open the door for you.

Entering the house, you will learn how Yammo and Jogo fell into this trap. After that, you will complete Open the Door and receive a Spicy Elixir as a reward for your help. In addition, Yammo will tell you which keys to press to surf on the shield.

Tears of the Kingdom is available on Nintendo Switch.
