The Primal Rumblings Research tasks launched on February 17, 2023, a helpful launch to make up for those players who cannot attend the live Go Tour: Hoenn event in Las Vegas. The event itself lasts until March 1, 2023, so you may have until then or a few days sooner to finish the tasks.

Primal Rumblings Research Tasks Step 1:
- Task: Catch 5 Water, Electric, or Bug-type Pokémon
- Reward: x20 Pinap Berry
- Task: Catch 5 Fire, Grass, or Ground-type Pokémon
- Reward: x20 Razz Berry
- Task: Catch 10 Pokémon originally discovered in the Hoenn Region
- Reward: x3 Golden Razz Berry
Completing these first Pokémon GO Primal Rumblings Research tasks nets you the total rewards of x2023 Stardust.
Primal Rumblings Research Tasks Step 2:
- Task: Complete 5 Field Research tasks
- Reward: x10 Poké Ball
- Task: Power up Pokémon 10 times
- Reward: x5 Great Ball
- Task: Make 5 Great Curveball Throws
- Reward: x1 Star Piece
Once you complete this, you will get total rewards of x2023 Star Dust and x1 Ticket.
Beyond the other rewards, the Ticket is another major reason or you to finish the Pokémon GO Primal Rumblings Research. This Ticket is how you choose your team for Pokémon GO Tour Hoenn. You must choose between Ruby and Sapphire.
Whatever version you select will grant you a matching medal. The version chosen also determines what unique rewards you will earn. The sides will go head-to-head to see who can complete the most Field Research tasks from February 25 to February 26.
Whoever comes out on top earns more raids with Kyogre (Sapphire) and Groudon (Ruby). There are other exclusive rewards up for grabs with this competition, so be sure to complete your Primal Rumblings research so you can earn your Ticket.
