How To Complete Spider and the Fly in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty

It’s a dirty job, but someone has to do it.

The devs at CD Projekt Red weren’t joking when they said we were in for an action-packed expansion. The Spider and the Fly mission in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is one of the best in the DLC, and it’s only the second main quest. It involves protecting the president from all sorts of dangers, culminating in an intense boss fight. If you’re struggling with it or don’t know which path is the fastest to finish this quest, we have all the details here.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty – The Spider and the Fly Guide

Like any other quest in the game, reaching its end is pretty straightforward, as you only need to follow the markers. However, in good RPG fashion, there are a few ways to solve The Spider and the Fly quest in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. If you want to take the fastest route, here’s the one we recommend:

Escort the President Out of the Building

This one’s quite easy, as you only need to follow the markers. Eventually, you’ll reach a point where she’ll talk to you, and you’ll have to make a few choices.

Help Her Remove the Tracker (Timed Event)

This segment is short, but you’ll get a few dialogue options. Pay attention to the timed event that’ll task you to pull the implant fast before the drone detects you.

Hide From the Drone

There’s nothing too challenging here, as you only need to remain crouched and stay behind the President.

Fix the Elevator

Follow the markers guiding you through the scaffolding until you reach the fuse box. Turn it on to activate the elevator.

Sneak Past the Flying Drone

The drone will come back, and you’ll have two options. Sneak past it or go through the ventilation shaft. The latter is the easiest route, as you’ll get a car and an easier way to escape the building.

Lose the Guards Before Entering the New Building

Once inside, enter the elevator and go through the museum’s expo. You can interact with the exhibits to learn about them. The President is pretty talkative.

Open the Door and Head for the Elevator

Be wary; after interacting with the elevator’s button, enemies will swarm you. You must hold them off until Songbird does her thing.

After beating the enemies, the big robot called Chimera will turn on you. You must pass several quick time events to survive and progress through the mission.

You’ll end up at the bottom of the building. Keep running, and don’t try to fight the Chimera.

Defeat the Chimera

This is the final fight of the mission. Here are some mechanics to keep in mind when fighting the Chimera:

  • Scan it and aim for its weak spots.
  • When it reaches 70% HP, it’ll summon drones. You must fight them to prevent the boss from regaining health.
  • After that, keep damaging the Chimera until it reaches 2% HP. Once that’s done, jump on it to destroy it.

Once the fight’s over, grab the enemy’s core, find the exit, and go through other dialogues.

That wraps up our guide for The Spider and the Fly quest in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. While it seems like a long mission, knowing what to do will make it much faster. However, we also recommend you take your time to take in the sights of Dogtown. Undoubtedly, this is one great expansion that deserves everyone’s attention when playing.
