This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

“Well, Well, Well” is a side quest in Hogwarts Legacy that involves finding the chest of a treasure map given to you by a talking well. To get started on this quest, you need to search for the NPC object south of Aranshire, a hamlet in the South Hogwarts Region, east of the academy. For further clarification, you can encounter the well atop a slope slightly west of a Medium Bandit Camp. After arrival, interact with the well to begin a dialogue between the player protagonist and what ordinary people would have thought to be an inanimate object.

In the “Well, Well, Well” quest of Hogwarts Legacy, the NPC well will tell the player protagonist that an inconsiderate individual had tossed a piece of parchment into their hole. Being a well, this quest giver has no use for paper and wishes to rid their cough by giving the parchment to you.

Upon receiving the well’s paper in “Well, Well, Well” in Hogwarts Legacy, you will immediately recognize that the parchment is a treasure map depicting the location and details of how to find its cache. The site shown on the map is a ruin where you will find an Ancient Magic Hotspot south of Irondale in the Feldcroft Region. If you have participated in the second Broom Racing Event, you should have unlocked the Floo Flame fast-travel point at the nearby Hamlet. Accordingly, go to the settlement and fly southward to the ruin.

After arrival at the “Well, Well, Well” quest’s map location in Hogwarts Legacy, you will notice that the ruin is divided into two sections. The larger man part is where you can discover the Ancient Magic Hotspot, while a smaller portion sits atop a ridge connected by a stone bridge. The treasure cache is located in the smaller, separated area, where you will encounter a tree. Approach this tree and cast Levioso to lift the plant from the ground, revealing a treasure chest entangled in its roots. Loot the treasure chest to complete the quest in Hogwarts Legacy.
