Erennyes Forest is an area that debuted on the Fontaine map in version 4.2, where many new challenges await. A highlight of this Genshin Impact patch is Wilting Weeping Willow, in which you should find a way to activate the golden tree’s altar. In addition, in Fontaine, you will find more mechanisms with altars that work like the altar from this quest and unlock chests and other rewards.
Genshin Impact: Find a Way to Activate the Altar Under the Wilting Weeping Willow
You can get this world quest from the NPC Melusine named Pahsiv, located in a north cave of Loch Urania Lake. After talking to Pahsiv, The Wild Fairy of Erinnyes quest will appear in your menu, and until you complete the sub-quest Foggy Forest Path, you can start to solve the Wilting Weeping Willow altar. But if you haven’t completed the first task, you can also trigger it this way:
1. Go to the Weeping Willow. You can use the closest Teleport Waypoint, Weeping Willow of the Lake.
2. Get into the lake and dive under the tree branches. At the bottom of the lake is the altar.
3. Before you continue this quest, you must find a way to activate the altar; this will require resolving some Genshin Impact puzzles to unlock the mechanism. First, absorb the xenochromatic hunter’s ray’s ability to free the ball octopus inside the seagrass.
4. Then, absorb the xenochromatic ball octopus’ ability to clean the contamination clots near the altar. A Dew Bubble will appear next to the plant sprout you cleaned.
5. With the same ball octopus’ power, you must move the bubble to the middle of the altar. The bubble creates a halo; be sure it covers all Harmonious Reeds.
6. Pop the Dew Bubble to activate the Harmonious Reeds. Afterward, you can take a new item, a Teardrop key, on the altar and the unlocked chest’s rewards.
7. Examine the key to starting the cinematic with Pashiv.
The altar key is crucial in Erinnyes’ Wild Fairy quests because Pashiv needs three keys to save her home. Fans believe that Pashiv is a Primordial Bathysmal Vishap, as he has similarities to a Vishap and is very different from other Melusines. Still, Pashiv is a handy NPC because she becomes a shop after you complete all the sub-quests. You can buy some local Fontaine specialties and a cooking ingredient from her in exchange for Tidalga with Pashiv.
