What is TM 167 Close Combat in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?

You can receive TM 167 Close Combat from Team Star Crew leader when you play Starfall Street Storyline. You need to defeat Team Star to receive this TM. Once you have obtained the TM 167 Close Combat, you can craft more for league points and TM materials at TM machines.

As a Fighting-type move, M167 Close Combat packs a punch with a power of 120 and an accuracy of 100. On top of that, it also has the added benefit of decreasing your opponent’s Defense and Special Defense stats by one stage! If you decide to use it, ensure the capabilities you’re facing are double-effective for maximum damage. Just make sure there isn’t any Ghost-type in play, or else this move won’t do you any good! So get ready to land that impressive combo with the decisive M167 Close Combat at your disposal.

Close Combat in Scarlet and Violet

You can craft TM 167 Close Combat in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet by using 12,000 league Points, 3x Makuhita Sweat, 5x Riolu Fur, and 3x Crabrawler Shell at the TM Machine.

You have to play League Battles to earn the required League Points, and Makuhita and Hariyama drop Makuhita Sweat. Riolu and Lucario drop Riolu Fur. At the same time, Crabrawler Shell can be obtained from  Crabrawler and Crabominable. Once you have all the required materials, you can craft TM 167 Close Combat in a few easy steps:

  1. Go to the TM Machine located in the Pokemon Centre.
  2. Select the TM 167 Close Combat. Input 12,000 League Points, 3x Makuhita Sweat, 5x Riolu Fur, and 3x Crabrawler Shell. The TM 167 Close Combat will be crafted!

You have crafted the mighty TM 167 Close Combat in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. You can now teach this move to your Pokémon for an effective fighting-type activity that decreases the opponent’s Defense and Special Defense stats. Good luck in your battles, and happy crafting!
