The last boss that you have to defeat in The Callisto Protocol is Captain Ferris, a difficult 2-phase boss that will take some work. There aren’t a ton of bosses in The Callisto Protocol, but the ones that do appear in the game are pretty difficult to beat and pack a heavy punch. This is especially true for the final boss in the horror-themed new game. Toward the end of the game, Captain Ferris will return as a deformed and extremely powerful monster, ready to take your life from you. Keep reading to learn how to defeat the Captain Ferris boss in The Callisto Protocol.

This fight will happen in two stages, as with loads of other games. The first phase is where you’ll actually think you’re doing a decent job and figuring it out, and the second phase will be when the boss gets irritated and unleashed its wrath on you, making the fight much more difficult. Learn about both of them below:

Phase One – Captain Ferris

During the first phase of the fight against the now-mutated Captain Ferris, you’ll want to keep your defenses up. He’s quite large, but also fast, so you’ll have to use your Dodge function quite a bit. He will fire his fists at you in a combo, hoping to bring you down, so avoid these. Once he’s finished his fists of fury combo, it’s time for you to strike back. Use your baton to attack Captain Ferris back, focusing on melee combos, as that’s the only way to really damage Captain Ferris in The Callisto Protocol.

In between your combos and Captain Ferris’ combos is the best time to get some gunshots in there. For this portion of the fight, it’s best to use your hand cannon. Keep following these patterns until Captain Ferris transforms, beginning the next phase of the fight.

Phase Two – Alpha

Alpha will use an overpowered side swipe attack that will kill you in one hit if you’re not careful. The other attack that Alpha possesses is to shoot projectiles at you. This means, if you are up close, you’ll need to be dodging dang near constantly, and if you’re not, be ready to dodge some projectiles or find cover if you need to reload or heal yourself.

To get rid of Alpha’s shield so you can actually do some real damage, you’ll have to use your riot gun. It won’t be a quit process, but it will eventually shatter his shield and you’ll be able to swoop in for real attacks. Continue dealing damage until you stagger Alpha and hear him roar. At this point, you’ll need to run over to the pillars and use them as cover. More enemies will spawn, so be sure to take them out. Though, you will need your shotgun for the remainder of the fight, so save any shotgun ammo you have.

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
