Nintendo, with the release of Tears of the Kingdom, has once again proven they are truly one of the best gaming companies in the industry that not only knows how to make a good game but also how to improve them with each installment in the series. While Tears of the Kingdom has brought a lot of stuff back from the previous game and made a lot of new changes, a few things have been brought back from earlier games of the series, like Gleeok. Gleeok is a colossal enemy you face in Tears of the Kingdom, and here is how to defeat it.

Like every adventure game, you are bound to face some difficult enemies on your journey. Sometimes these enemies are fast and quick, and sometimes huge but slower, like Flux Constructs. Gleeok is a colossal dragon with three heads, which makes it a fair and difficult challenge for all players. Like every enemy in the game, once you get to know how the beast moves and attacks, you will eventually defeat it.

The first thing you should know about Gleeok in Tears of the Kingdom is that there are several of these colossal beings in the game. There is Frot Gleeok, King Gleeok, Fire Gleeok, and others. The common thing between all of them is their huge sizes and three heads. Still, each of them has its unique weakness that you can learn quickly.

The first thing you should observe and learn quickly when facing Gleeok is what elemental they are using. For instance, is it using Ice attacks or Fire attacks? Now according to what you see and face, choose the weapons, armor, and items that are opposed to that element. If it’s a Fire Gleeok, use items that have Ice elements like Snowquill Armor Set.

Now that you know what type of Gleeok you are dealing with, it is time to strategize. As their elements change from one Gleeok to another, their fighting pattern also varies. So what you want to do here is to not attack first but dodge its attack and observe what the beast is doing. After a minute or so, you will learn the pattern they are fighting, and according to that, you can strategize your moves so you can deal damage and take none or less damage.

The most powerful attack they use is the long-range attacks, and in order to avoid them, you have to either soar above them or around their heads. As you’ve seen the size of the beast, it is best to use gliding as much as you can so you have a higher chance of hitting their heads in order to deal more damage.

These tips are, of course, if you face this beast suddenly. But if you know where the beast is and their element, make sure to bring as many arrows as you can. And apart from that, don’t forget to have items that will give you elemental advantages to help you defeat the beast quicker and easier.

Tears of the Kingdom is now available for Nintendo Switch.
