How To Defeat Ixillis In Remnant: From the Ashes
The battle with the two Ixillis bosses is one of the rare boss battles in the game that doesn’t rely on random mobs spawning at some point. During this fight, the two Ixillis bosses, Ixillis XV and Ixillis XVI, are the only opponents players need to worry about. Although the fight may feel overwhelming at first, players can develop muscle memory for all the moves and phases, making it easier to progress.
To defeat Ixillis in Remnant: From the Ashes in Phase one is a short and straightforward introduction to the fight. Players can get a feel for Ixillis’ moves before Ixillis XVI wakes up and ruins their concentration. During this phase, players should watch for Ixillis’ Corrosive Bombs, Spectral Orbs, and Vertical and Horizontal Slashes.
Once players deplete one of Ixillis XV’s four health chunks, Ixillis XVI will spawn from the cocoon hanging from the ceiling on the opposite side of the arena. This is where things get complicated. Players need to keep track of both Ixillis bosses simultaneously, one on each side. During this phase, defeat Ixillis in Remnant: From the Ashes will continue using the same list of moves as in Phase one, but Ixillis XVI will start blasting the bridge with Beams of Light. The key to winning this fight is to shoot down the Spectral Orbs as soon as they appear, dodge the Corrosive Bombs and the Vertical and Horizontal Slashes, and chip away at both bosses’ health until they are defeated.
Remnant From the Ashes is available on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
