The Black Widow is tougher than Mushroom Bricks, which is why you need strong gear and effective tactics. See, Black Widows have a resistance to almost every physical and elemental damage. Moreover, they attack quickly and agilely like the Wolf Spider. However, Black Widow has a weakness that can help you defeat her. Let’s see how to beat the Black Widow in Grounded:
- Infection Damage: Black Widows have no resistance to Infection Damage. This means that a Rusty Spear would be a useful weapon to damage them. Rusty Spear does stacking damage on them. So, they won’t be able to deal much damage. You can combine it with shields, fire ant armor, and a javelineer.
- Sour: Black Widows are also weak to sour. So, you can use weapons like a Sour Battle-axe or a Toenail Scimitar with the sour buff. Since Sour will deal a lot of damage to a Black Widow, you can kill her very quickly. Additionally, you can also use Lady Bug Armor and a shield.
- Explosive Damage: Black Widows also have no resistance to Explosive Damage. So you can use bombs against them. Splatbursts or Bomb Arrows can deal very high damage. You can easily kill them by taking 100 arrows with you.
- Widowlings: Black Widows occasionally spawn Widowlings that attack players. In fact, Black Widows gain buffs by eating the Black Widowlings she spawns. You can prevent a Black Widow from getting stronger by eliminating Black Widowlings as soon as they spawn. They don’t have much resistance compared to Black Widow.
- Shields: A Black Widow’s poison attack stacks and deals damage over time. As a consequence, the more you let it stack, the more damage you’ll take. To prevent this, you should keep the Asian Ladybug’s shield with you. Additionally, Woodlouse Armor protects you from high damage.
This is all you need to know about how to defeat the Black Widow and its weakness in Grounded. Hopefully, you can defeat her easily with these tactics. Good luck!
