Firstly, it’s worth noting that you’ll save yourself a lot of time and pain if you keep your distance and stay away from the boss. This way you can give yourself some room to react and properly plan your attack. Of course, you also have a health bar to think about; if you get hit three times you’ll be eliminated. To defeat this challenging foe, it’s important to remember that the Sentinel Boss in Blade Ball has three different stages.
Stage 1
The first type of enemies you face in this boss fight are Royal Guards. Much like you, they have a health bar of three and they will launch balls at you that you can easily block. After a few seconds, a series of shockwaves will spread through the arena which you must jump over. The tricky part here is to pay attention to all the fireballs that come at you when you want to take a jump. Defeating all the Royal Guards will initiate the second stage.
Stage 2
In the second stage, you will face the boss directly. The only way you can deal damage to Sentinel Boss is to deflect the ball. This is good since you can maintain your distance from it and have enough time to react.
Sentinel will have multiple types of attack in this stage. The first one you will face is the purple balls that it throws at you. You cannot deflect them so you must avoid them at all costs. Then the Sentinal will spawn lasers in a circle around him. That is why you should maintain your distance, otherwise you will be fried by them. When the Sentinel realizes that lasers and purple balls aren’t effective, it will breathe some fire. Same as before, stay away and you won’t get a scratch.
Stage 3
Once you hit the boss 10 times with the balls, the final stage of the boss will initiate. This is where the real show starts. Remember that shockwave attack you had to jump over in the first stage? That returns so make sure you jump over them again.
If those shockwaves aren’t enough, the Sentinel will spawn two red lasers that will get close to you from the other side of the arena. The only way to dodge it is to jump over them at the right moment. And the moment you thank god that there aren’t Royal Guards to annoy, the boss will spawn some of them just to make things even worse.
In this stage what you should know is that you cannot deflect two balls at the same time. So, if you see yourself in a situation where two or more balls are coming towards you, just run.
