Season 2 of Diablo 4 delights fans with the theme of vampires and everything related to them, so you can use new, unique abilities and mechanics to improve your character. Many users don’t understand how it works, so we’re going to show you how to equip Vampiric Powers in Diablo 4. These powers will greatly help you in battles, providing many bonuses, from a banal increase in strength to life steal. So, without further ado, let’s get into it!
Diablo 4: How to Use Vampiric Powers
Before you can equip Vampiric Powers in Diablo 4, you’ll need to unlock them, and fortunately, it’s not difficult. You’ll get this opportunity while completing The Hunter’s Chase, the first quest of the new season, where you’ll be introduced to the story. Here, you’ll need to help Hunter Erys destroy a swarm of beasts by exploring the Magistrate’s secret blood shrine in Ken Bardu. During the quest, you’ll gain your first power, called Undying, and then you should bring it to the Sanguine Circle to use. It’s not hard to do; here’s what you need to do:
- Open your inventory and go to the Vampric Powers tab, which is indicated by the small icon to the right of Equipment. Once you do this, you will see the Sanguine Circle and can interact with it to insert 5 powers.
- Choose the one that is available to you and move it into the Sanguine Circle to activate and be able to use it.
By doing so, you can diversify the battle with new or improved powers that you will receive and upgrade in the future by earning and spending Potent Blood.
It is also worth noting that each ability you want to activate has its own pact cost and will be inactive if the conditions of use are not met. There are 3 pacts in total, namely:
- Ferocity
- Divinity
- Eternity
For example, Undying, the power we discussed above, requires 1 Eternity, so you’ll need to make sure you have enough of this pact. To increase your pact capacity, you’ll need to use armor, which you can get as loot from killed enemies.
In total, there are 22 Vampric Powers in Diablo 4, and each of them has its own pact capacity requirements. Not all the armor you find will have enough pact capacity, or it may have different stats from what you need. In such cases, Cleansing Acids comes to the rescue, with which you can remove all the pacts that are in the equipment to insert new ones. Yes, you read that right, the game also has so-called Standalone Pacts, which you can use as consumables to insert into your armor and create the perfect combination to use your Vampiric Powers. So, continue progressing and getting more and more Potent Blood to unlock even more abilities and create the perfect build.
