Kubfu is a legendary Pokemon that you may remember from Pokemon Sword and Shield, and now it’s in The Indigo Disk. At first glance, it looks like a small and cute bear with a funny hairstyle, but in fact, on the battlefield, it can fight off the entire enemy team. Next, you’ll learn how to evolve Kubfu into Urshifu in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: The Indigo Disk. To accomplish this goal, you’ll need to find one of two evolution items, depending on which fighting style you prefer.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: The Indigo Disk – How To Evolve Kubfu
To evolve Kubfu into Urshifu, you need to get evolve items. There are two possible evolve items for this Pokemon:
- Scroll of Waters
- Scroll of Darkness.
Previously, you could get them through Battle Towers, but now, it’s much faster and easier.
Once you get one of the scrolls, you can use it on a Kubfu to turn it into an Urshifu in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: The Indigo Disk. It’s worth noting that each of the scrolls gives the Pokemon a different fighting style. In the case of the Scroll of Darkness, it’s a Single Strike, and if you decide to use the Scroll of Waters, you will get Rapid Strike Style Urshifu. Both styles will be useful for different battles, depending on which Pokemon you’re fighting. We’ll talk about these styles in more detail shortly, but for now, let’s see where you can get the scrolls.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: The Indigo Disk – How To Get Scroll of Waters and Scroll of Darkness
Before, the most effective way to get these scrolls was to complete Battle Towers. Now, it’s easier to do so because you can simply buy them. Follow the next steps to accomplish this:
- Head to the West Province of the Paldea Region.
- From here, go to the auction marketplace of Porto Marinada which is located in Area Two.
- Once you arrive, walk between the vendors of different goods and find a woman in blue shorts, a top, and glasses selling evolve items.
- By interacting with her, you can find out which lot is currently for sale, and if it’s one of the scrolls, you’ll need to participate in the auction.
- Put up the highest bid to win the auction and take the scroll for yourself.
- If the item you want is not available for auction, turn off the game, reset the time on your console, and try to see if the scroll is available now. You can also increase the chance of scrolls appearing if you have Kubfu.
So when you get one of the scrolls, use them on your Kubfu to evolve it into an Urshifu. Rapid Strike Style Urshifu, which you get if you use Scroll of Waters, is much better because then your Pokemon will get an attack like Unseen Fist, which can pierce through Detect or Protect. If you used Scroll of Darkness, don’t worry, it’s also a great option if you prefer one accurate and powerful attack.
