A 9th Generation Pokémon, Toedscool is a rare, fast, and intriguing-looking monster. But did you know that once you do manage to track Toedscool down in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, they will evolve into the even more curious Toedscruel? Going from a squat jellyfish-like being with two legs to a squishy mushroom head creature with several legs is an interesting turn of events. If you want to see it, you must capture Toedscool first. We’ll show you where to look for the creature and how to evolve them.
Evolve Toedscool into Toedscruel in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Toedscool is a Ground/Grass-type Pokémon first introduced in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Some people may think it’s unique in terms of appearance. Others might not be as kind with their words. There is a familiarity about this Pokémon though for veteran players of the franchise. Toedscool is the replacement for the classic Tentacool, while Toedscruel serves as the stand-in for Tentacruel.
So, if you want some nostalgia or simply want to enjoy a new Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, it’s time to track Toedscool down and evolve them into Toedscruel.
We mentioned that Toedscool is elusive. In fact, it’s one of the best words to describe them because they can be a pain to catch. Despite that, they are located throughout the Paldea region, which gives you plenty of opportunity to find them. Check the following areas:
- Casseroya Lake
- Tagtree Thicket
- East Province (Areas One-Three)
- North Province (Areas One, Two)
- South Province (Areas Two-Five)
- West Province (Areas Two, Three)
Perhaps the best area to find a Toedscool to evolve into Toedscruel in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is Casseroya Lake. In particular, check right above the Lake as that houses the mushroom forest. There should be some Toedscool around to catch. However, you must remember that they tend to run, so try to sneak up on one.
Now that we have Toedscool, let’s work on that evolution. It may prove simpler than catching them, in fact. To evolve Toedscool into Toedscruel in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, just raise Toedscool’s level to Level 30. At this point, the evolution will trigger.
To raise their level, battle. It’s as clear-cut as that. Battle other trainers, battle wild Pokémon, and even battle and re-battle Gym Leaders with Toedscool in your party. If you have a Lucky Egg, have Toedscool hold it for some extra XP.
In no time, you will evolve your Toedscool into Toedscruel.
