Money can’t buy happiness. But it does buy you sweet, sweet gear. Here’s how to farm gold bars in Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII Reunion.

The gold bars are essential elements in Crisis Core Reunion Final Fantasy VII, especially for their excellent value, but also in the improvement of Materia.

Crisis Core Reunion Final Fantasy VII is much more than a remastering, as it introduces new game mechanics and significant technical improvements. But, of course, many elements remain the same.

One of them is the gold bars, which are very important for the Materia improvements of the characters. Still, you can also sell them to earn a lot of money. These are the best ways to farm gold bars in Crisis Core Reunion Final Fantasy VII.

What are Gold Bars For in Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII Reunion?

In Crisis Core Reunion: Final Fantasy VII, we find different objects we can sell or use for our benefit. One of the most important is the gold bars.

This is a coveted item in Crisis Core Reunion, as it can be sold for large amounts of money (Giles) in the game’s stores.

However, gold bars are also vital when it comes to upgrading Materia and fusing them. So thanks to this item, you will also get extra Luck for your character.

It is possible to find them in some game missions, at a reward level, or hidden in trunks.

These are the missions where you can get gold bars:

  • 4-4-1: A new threat (trunk).
  • 8-6-1: Yuffie’s warnings (trunk)
  • 6-6-4: Anti-mafia project (reward)
  • 10-4-2: Let’s hope it’s a vacation (trunk)

The bad news is that once you get the gold bars in these Crisis Core Reunion side missions, you won’t be able to get any more.

Therefore, the best way to get gold bars is by farming them. And there is one particular mission where we can get a lot of gold bars after defeating unmanageable swarms of Tonberries.

This is the side mission  (9-6-2), where we will have to defeat swarms of these creatures… and by defeating them, we will get lots of gold bars.

In addition, there is a way to increase the chances of obtaining gold bars. To do this, you must equip yourself with these items: Materia cup, the matter Steal, or the Jeweled Ring.

Once you have enough gold bars, you can sell them in the stores for 50,000 Giles each, which is an almost unbeatable offer. We recommend you keep some of them to upgrade your Materia.

Indeed, we can improve the Materia or even merge them with the gold bars to get new effects (and an increase in Luck). To do so, just go to the Materia tab in the menu and place the bars in one of the boxes next to the Materia you want to upgrade.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion is available on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC
