Crafting and shopping with Essence Traders will be crucial to advancement for any Realmwalker. In Nightingale, this means that any options to farm Essence from fewer materials will save you a ton of trouble while crafting and repairing. There are multiple methods to do this, some more clever than others, so let’s show you what tricks you can use!
Tricks to Farm Essence in Nightingale
In Nightingale, there are easy ways to farm Essence once you complete the tutorial. The most basic form, Essence Dust, is easily farmed by crafting clusters of Rock Marbles. Each Marble can be extracted for twice as much Essence Dust as a single Rock. A bundle of 6 Rocks gives you 6 Essence, but a bundle of 20 Marbles you can make from those gives you a whopping 40 Essence.
Generally, extracting Marbles and ammo of ascending rarity will get you more Essence. You get more from them than you would from the materials that go into crafting them. Beyond this method, harvesting or finding higher-tier essence boils down to exploring the realms you discover.
- Explore Fae Portals and beat its occupying enemies to harvest gear and Essence.
- Complete puzzles you encounter to farm and collect Essence in Nightingale.
- Defeat bosses and alpha creatures in your given realms.
But beyond simple Essence Dust, you’ll want to know the best places to find higher-quality Essence in Nightingale.
Where to Farm High-Quality Essence in Nightingale
Thanks to dedicated Realmwalkers like SiNKiLLeR on YouTube, discoveries have been made about which realms yield better Essence. It’s crucial to buy crafting station recipes and realm card recipes from Essence Traders to do this, so focus on these instead of cosmetic house parts first.
For Tier 1 (Green) Essence, check the following realms:
- Astrolabe
- Provisioner
- Antiquarium
To get Tier 2 (Blue) Essence, check the following realms:
- Hunt
- Gloom
- Herbarium
For Tier 3 (Purple) Essence, check the Ascended realm.
That’s all there is to finding each type of Essence beyond the basic Essence Dust. For early players, Essence Dust shouldn’t be overlooked, as it’s an essential currency that doubles as repair materials when your weapons break down from overuse.
The best way to find ascending levels of Essence is to explore as much of the game as you can. Going to more challenging areas gives you access to better Essence, which is key to building the best gear and improving your Gear Score, as well as just upgrading what you already have.
