Slime Rancher 2 has introduced many new features, including new slimes, regions, and a lot more. While Beatrix LeBeau explores the new Rainbow Island, she finds many new Slimes, some of which have a different favorite food. Also, Nectar is one of the new favorite food for some of them. This guide will show you how to farm Nectar in Slime Rancher 2.

What is Nectar in Slime Rancher 2?

Nectar is a type of Slime. Currently, the only Nectar type you can obtain in the game is Moondew Nectar which is the favorite food of Flutter Slimes. Food. Also, it is blue colored and can be found on the blue flowers in the regions of Rainbow Island.

When you feed Flutter Slime with Moondew Nectar, their plort production doubles, you can find Moondew Nectar in the Starlight Strand region. Remember, you can only discover Moondew Nectar late at night. Also, you can most of the time discover Moondew Nectar in places where Cutter Slimes are found.

Look for plants with a blue drop between the Petals. Nectar will spawn from the middle of these flowers. They will spawn as one or two clumps at a time. You can shoot Vacpack at it and collect them easily. Also, the Nectar collected can be used to attract and tame slimes. To do this, place the Nectar in a Slime corral and wait for Slime to come to eat it. Once the Slime has eaten the Nectar, it will be tamed and can be placed in a Slime pen.

Slime Rancher 2 does not currently have a function for farming Nectar. The only available option for Nectar is Moondew Nectar, which cannot be farmed. Since there are plenty of fruits and vegetables around the region, you might be surprised to know this. But there is not any game feature to farm Nectar. The game is still in development, so a function for farming Nectar may be added in a future update.

In the meantime, if you’re looking to get your hands on some Nectar for yourself, you’ll have to head to the Starlight Strand region and start farming those pesky Nectars. Good luck out there!
