Nightingale is filled with various items that players must acquire if they want to survive and thrive. Each item can be found in certain locations and biomes and that is also true for Zinc. So in this guide, we’ll cover how to farm and also use Zinc in Nightingale.
Where to Farm Zinc in Nightingale
To get and farm Zinc in Nightingale, you must travel to the Swamp Biome. Zinc is one of the many items players can use for crafting different things in Nightingale. In the game, there are many biomes, each providing certain types of items and challenges for players. In the case of Zinc, the biome you must search for is a Swamp realm.
To gain access to a Swamp realm, you must have the right card. If you go to an Enchanter’s Focus and search under the Realm Cards, you are bound to see how to craft a Swamp card. After crafting that, you can travel to a Swamp realm to start Zinc farming.
Once you get to a Swamp realm, make sure you build a base for yourself because you need a few items. In the base, craft a Simple Workbench and then use it to craft a Pick. If you don’t know how to craft a Pick, you can purchase the recipe for it from an Essence Trader. You have to go through these steps because you cannot obtain Zinc without a pick.
The places you should look for Zinc are elevated and rocky areas near water. You can find Zinc all over a Swamp realm for sure, but these areas have the most Zinc. Zinc rocks have orange-ish patches on them that make them distinguished from other rocks. You can also check the Staerk video for further assistance:

What Are Zinc Used for in Nightingale?
Now that we’ve gone through all that effort to get some Zinc, it is also fair to know why they are important to have. Overall, building any item with Zinc will give a buff in blocking, dealing melee damage, and increasing durability. For instance, if you use a Zinc ingot in crafting a shield it will give it a 10+ durability and 10+ blocking.
However, you cannot use the Zinc ore you just acquired from farming. You have to turn them into Ingots first by using a Smelter. Same as the workbench, you can buy the recipe for making a Smelter from Essence Trader. Once you get the Smelter, use some wood to start a fire inside it and afterward, you can make 1 Ingot Zinc for 2 Ore Zinc.
