As a true Metroidvania, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown offers many features that are staples of the genre. From platforming puzzles to challenging enemies and the usual backtracking, we all love to do after unlocking something new. However, for the latter, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown introduces a useful fast travel mechanic that’ll save you some time when exploring and even let you avoid some of the most annoying enemies in the game. Thankfully, you won’t have to wait long to unlock this handy feature.

While there are many things you can unlock after beating a boss or by purchasing certain items, other things require you to do some exploring after opening up certain areas. To unlock fast travel in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, you must do the following:

  1. Follow the main story until you reach the Lower City and beat Jahandar, the King of Beasts.
  2. Keep following the objectives if you’re in guided mode until you reach the Sacred Archive.
  3. Move to the far left side of this area until you find a room with a time orb and a broken statue behind it.
  4. Smash it to restore the statue and unlock your first fast travel point.

Once you restore the statue, you’ll be able to fast travel to The Haven. However, once you keep exploring the map, you’ll see more statues that need to be restored in order to create fast travel points.

While you can unlock shortcuts after finishing all the platforming puzzles in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, fast travel is a fantastic thing to have because it’ll allow you to bypass certain enemies when you’re returning to a certain area for some treasure or to complete a side quest. Although, if you prefer to take in the sights and kick some butt on the way, nothing’s stopping you from pulling off some flashy moves while you jump, dash, and phase through Mount Qaf.
