If you’re new to Ark Survival Evolved or just playing through each map, you’ll have to fight the Broodmother. Though, the Broodmother, like all bosses in the game, is challenging to access, let alone fight. To fight the Broodmother, you must travel to the Obelisk of your choosing, have all of the required Tributes, and have all the required Trophies. This can take quite a while to figure out if you need help figuring out where to start. Read below to learn how to fight the Broodmother in Ark Survival Evolved.
How To Spawn the Broodmother
To fight the Broodmother in Ark Survival Evolved, you’ll have to have a specific set of artifacts and trophies:
- Artifact of the Massive
- Artifact of the Hunter
- Artifact of the Clever
- Argentavis Talon
- Sarco Skin
- Sauropod Vertebra
- Titanoboa Venom
Each Artifact can be found within caves on the map you are attempting the Broodmother fight in. You must defeat some of the most fearsome beasts to get the trophies. Argentavis Talons can be obtained after defeating an Argentavis in your map’s medium or hard zones. Sarco skins are collected after defeating the giant alligator-like Sarco. Sauropod Vertebra drop from Bronto and Diplodocus. Titanoboa Venom drops from the toxic Titanoboa that reside in the swamps, desert, and caves.
Once you’ve gotten your tributes together, it’s time to head to the Obelisk. The Green Obelisk holds the portal to the Gamma version of the Broodmother in Ark Survival Evolved, the Blue Obelisk contains the Beta Portal, and the Red Obelisk has the Alpha Portal. Now, take all your tributes to the Obelisk and place them inside it. You will be able to summon the Broodmother Portal here.
Defeating the Broodmother in Ark Survival Evolved
Once you are inside the Broodmother Portal, you should prepare to fight. Since the arena is limited in size, Gigas are not allowed, so bring in Rexes if you can. Otherwise, we recommend using Rexes or Megatheriums. This is because Megatheriums get buffs to attack damage whenever they defeat one of the Broodmother’s minions. Additionally, Rexes are very hard-hitting and can quickly deal massive amounts of damage.
In addition to your main creatures, we suggest bringing in a couple of Yutyrannus and a couple of Daeodons. The Yutyrannus can use its courage roar to increase the attack damage of your other creatures, and the Daeodons will consistently be healing your creatures throughout the fight. Since you can bring 20 dinosaurs into the boss fight, we suggest 2 Daeodons, 1 Yutyrannus, 2 Rexes, and 15 Megatheriums to fight the Broodmother in Ark Survival Evolved.
