The world of Terraria is very huge and diverse. Each biome in it is unique and has different resources, enemies, weapons, treasures, and more. But among them all, there is one that stands out for its beauty. And, of course, we’re talking about the Aether biome.

Finding it is quite difficult, as it spawns in different locations. However, the Aether biome will always spawn in the same half of the world as the Jungle. Therefore, you need to first find the Jungle biome and then go to the sea. And there, you can start your search for the Aether biome in Terraria.

You must dig down until you reach the Cavern layer. It differs from Underground in darker stone. And then, you need to explore the caves until you see the beautiful twinkling stars of the Aether biome. All black blocks in this biome have space textures. But besides the beautiful blocks, the biome’s Aether also has a unique Shimmer pool that doesn’t spawn anywhere else. And this pool is worth spending so much effort to find the Aether biome.

Shimmer is a unique purple liquid that has various properties. For example, using it, you can get unique items. However, players can find Shimmer only in the Aether biome in the world. And here are some of Shimmer’s features:

  • It can transform items into other items.
  • It can transform enemies, NPCs, and critters.
  • It can make enemies invisible.
  • Stepping into Shimmer will give you a Shimmering debuff, that forces you to fall through blocks until you reach a cave or other open space.

That’s all you need to know about how to find the Aether biome in Terraria. It is an incredibly beautiful biome where you can find one of the most useful liquids in the game. Therefore, follow our tips, and you will be able to find this biome. And while you are here, take a look at our guide on how to get a Battle Potion in Terraria.

Terraria is available on Nintendo Switch, Windows, Android, iOS, PlayStation, and Xbox.
