How to Find Devastators in Helldivers 2?
In the world of Helldivers 2, you fight for democracy against Terminids and Automatons. Each faction has a variety of enemies and Devastators belong to the Automaton faction. They are bigger compared to other Automaton enemies in the game but what makes them challenging to beat is their heavy armor.
Now that we know Devastators are part of the Bots unit in the Automaton faction, we can find them more easily. All you have to do is go to planets that The Bots are attacking or occupying and you will encounter Devastators for sure. Just in case you weren’t sure they are Devastators, press the R1 button on your controller to show the HUD of the enemy and you can check their name.
How to Defeat Devastators in Helldivers 2?
What makes Devastators a tough enemy to beat is their heavy armor. They are covered in heavily armored frames from top to bottom. That means that regular weapons won’t be deadly enough to kill them quickly. So what you need when you face Devastators are explosives. Anything from grenades, grenade launchers, and motors will do severe damage. But to get a guaranteed kill it is best to use an Orbital Strike, especially if there is more than one enemy.
It is also important to know there are three types of Devastators; regular Devastators, heavy Devastators, and rocket Devastators. Heavy Devastators are the regular devastators with a shield. Rocket Devastators, however, have a rocket launcher mounted on their shoulders and can kill you instantly if their rockets hit you directly. So when you are facing a Rocket Devastator you have to aim for the shoulder-mounted rockets first so it won’t kill you first and then proceed to killing the bot itself.
