Deep Rock Galactic Find Aquarqs
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information.

Deep Rock Galactic features a variety of mission types to embark on, with some more complex than others, and one particular assignment requires players to extract a mineral known as Aquarq from the alien caverns. This mission type is known as “Point Extraction,” and its goal is for the Dwarf Miners to find Aquarq buried within the cave’s ground and walls. During a Point Extraction, the M.U.L.E. isn’t present with the Dwarves but is instead replaced with a Mine Head. To complete the mission, Deep Rock Galactic players will need to find a certain number of Aquarqs while keeping the alien bugs at bay.

How to Get Aquarq in Deep Rock Galactic

Deep Rock Galactic Aquarqs Guide

To find Aquarqs in Deep Rock Galactic, players will need to investigate the environment for surfaces with speckled bits of glowing blue. These are Aquarq nodes and require players to use their Pickaxe or Drill to dig underneath to expose the large crystal inside. Once an Aquarq is found, players can take it to the Mine Head for safekeeping.

The tiny crystals dotted about the wall or ground where an Aquarq is buried will glow brightly if the mineral is present. However, the bluish shine will fade away once a player retrieves the crystal. Keeping this in mind, players can recognize when a node still contains a minable Aquarq.

Digging an Aquarq out of surfaces of sand or soil should be relatively easy, but regions covered with hardened rock or ice will lengthen the mining process quite significantly. Therefore, it is recommended for one party member to be a Driller during Point Extraction missions. Another excellent class for extracting Aquarqs in Deep Rock Galactic is the Gunner. Thanks to their trusty Zipline, the team can easily traverse vertical terrain and retrieve crystals located in hard-to-reach spots. Alternatively, an Engineer with their Platform Gun and a Scout with their Grappling Hook make a great duo for mining Aquarqs as well.
