Cobblestone Rocks are an important building pillar in the mid-game of 7 Days to Die, no matter what difficulty you chose. Once you can craft them, Cobblestone Blocks are stronger and cheaper than Brick Blocks, and give better protection for your base against the undead horde. You can make them using common materials as well. However, scavenging and farming these precious rocks can be tough, but only if you don’t know where to look.
7 Days To Die: Where Can You Find Cobblestone Rocks?
Cobblestone Rocks can be easily found by digging rocky ground using a Shovel. We tried Shoveling the ones in front of abandoned houses or Residence buildings, and it seems to be the best place to farm them. You can also purchase a bunch of them at a Trader for $30.
Before 7 Days To Die Version 1.0, you could reliably get 30 stacks of Cobblestone Rocks from Shoveling pallets of blue-tarped boxes or bags. They are often found in construction sites, unfinished homes, or factories. However, according to our tests and other players’ investigations, scavenging materials appears to have been nerfed. At best, you can only get 6 Cobblestone Rocks from a blue-tarped box. At worst, you wasted 2 real-time hours just to finally locate one.
Nevertheless, you will still get Clay Soil, Small Stones, and XP, from tarped pallet boxes, no matter what the color is. This brings us to the next point: Cobblestone Rocks can also be created with Clay Soil and Small Stones on a Workbench. Aside from the tarped boxes, both materials are also found everywhere; all you have to do is dig the ground. Afterward, you can start crafting Cobblestone Blocks using Cobblestone Rocks x10 on a Forge.
