For a quiet stroll through a forest of cherry blossoms, there’s only one place to turn. No, not Ghost of Tsushima. Pocketpair’s creature-collecting survival game got a major update, introducing a brand new island to Palworld. The new biome means new resources, new gadgets, and (of course) new Pals. Sakurajima also happens to be the prettiest location in the game, so if you want to go sightseeing on Quivern’s back, it’s a dream destination. Here’s what you need to know about the new island’s location in Palworld.

The new island of Sakurajima is located in the northwest portion of Palworld’s map. If you get lost while trying to find the new island and its (precious resources), you can use the great tree in the ocean as a landmark. Although there are multiple fast travel points on Sakurajima (and you don’t have to visit any particular part of the island first), some routes are preferable. Here’s what we recommend:

  1. Travel to Ice Wind Island
  2. Fly west across the ocean to Sakurajima
  3. Activate the Mushroom Wetlands fast travel point
  4. Alternatively, fly north from Forgotten Island or west from the Pristine Snow Field fast travel point to find Sakurajima

Once you know the new island’s location in Palworld, you just have to reach it. A speedy flying Pal like Jetragon, Frostallion, or Faleris is your best bet. Crossing the ocean with one of them doesn’t take that much time, but even a slow flyer will get the job done if your team is lacking. Whether you begin your exploration of Sakurajima from the Mushroom Wetlands or another region, you’ll want to activate a fast travel point ASAP. Saya isn’t the only danger on Sakurajima, after all.
