If you’re down for some Vermintide-esque vibes in Losomn of Remnant 2, consider hunting down the region’s secret Gorge boss. Hidden within the lower-level sewers of either Butcher’s Quarters or Cotton Kiln, the Gorge is a giant pig-like rat beastie that drops Twisting Wounds. This Mutator bolsters ranged damage by 10% against Bleeding targets, a rather OP buff for those running Bleed builds. However, finding the secret Losomn boss Gorge in Remnant 2 can be quite puzzling if you’re unfamiliar with the sewer’s hidden entrance.
Secret Losomn Gorge Boss Location in Remnant 2
The secret pig boss called the Gorge in Remnant 2 will have its sewer lair spawn in Cotton Kiln or Butcher’s Quarters. The location will differ from playthrough to playthrough. For us, it was in Butcher’s Quarters, but you might encounter the secret Losomn boss Gorge in Cotton Kiln. Regardless, the entryway to enter the underground canal will look the same, visually speaking.
- On your map, look for an unexplored area where the path sleeps to slope downward. After arrival, look down from the drop-off point, and you should see a sewer hole with a purple item.
- Head down the nearby stairway path, and you should eventually arrive at a hole surrounded by rubble. You’ll know you’re at the right spot if two Oil Dran husks are present near the entry.
- Crouch through the opening and make your way further downward to get the purple item, the Shiny Hog Lure. It’s a Ring that boosts Mod Power based on reloaded ammo.
- There’s a small area before the sewer tunnels where you must gingerly tip-toe across a few wooden beams. Be careful here; a single misstep will send you to your death below.
After you’ve reached the central canal, you’ll encounter an intersection. Ahead, you’ll see a closed gate, and to your right should be a lever to open said gate. Interacting with the lever will summon the secret Losomn boss Gorge in Remnant 2.
How To Beat the Secret Losomn Boss Gorge in Remnant 2
To beat the Gorge in Remnant 2, we highly recommend you stay in the intersection, as that’s the most open space you’ll have to fight. Similar to dealing with a Rat Ogre in Vermintide, trying to fight a giant monster in a tight, narrow area will likely spell your defeat. Watch out for the Gorge’s lunges and hind-leg kicks, using the intersection’s space to roll around. Ranged gunfire is effective, but you can also punish the boss with a melee attack whenever it charges into one of the dead-end alcoves.
Once slain, you’ll receive the Twisting Wounds Mutator in Remnant 2 for your effort. Continue out the gate; the pathway will eventually take you back to the surface, where you can continue on your exploration of Losomn.
