Weapon Mods have been added to the game following the release of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1. You can now attach attachments to many of your Rare and higher weapons to increase the ammo in the magazine or reduce recoil. With this new feature, you can create weapons that are incredibly satisfying to use and powerful. But before you can discover the power of these Weapon Mods, you’ll want to know how to use Mod Bench and its locations in Fortnite.

Weapon Mods in Fortnite are not something you can find as loot. However, you can get Modded Weapons in the game as Floor Loot or directly from Chests. You can attach Weapon Mods to Rare, Epic, and Legendary weapons, but to attach a Mod to a weapon, you must first find a Mod Bench. At Mod Benches, you can add new attachments to your weapons for Gold Bars.

This way, whether you want to attach a scope or a silencer to your weapon is entirely up to you. In Fortnite, Rare weapons have 2 Mod Slots, Epic weapons have 3 Mod Slots, and Legendary weapons have 4 Mod Slots.

In Fortnite Season 1 Chapter 5, you can equip Optics, Magazines, Underbarrels, and Barrels to your weapon using Mod Benches. Each of these Mods has its own advantages and disadvantages.

As we mentioned before, in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1, you must first find a Mod Bench to install Mods on your weapons. These Mod Benches are located on the Fortnite map where 5 different bosses are currently located.

You can find Mod Benches in the Vaults guarded by Oscar, Montague, Valeria, Nisha, and Peter Griffin. After killing these bosses, you can access the Mod Benches by going to the underground Vault. You can then use your Gold Bars to customize the appropriate weapons.

Where To Find Each Boss in Chapter 5 Season 1 (All Mod Bench Locations)

  • Lavish Lair – Oscar
  • Grand Glacier – Mongtague
  • Reckless Railways – Valeria
